TITLE :Complex Filled Shapes Near Bottom of Page Print Incorrectly
PRODUCT :winnt
PROD/VER:3.51
OPER/SYS:WINDOWS
KEYWORDS:kbprint kbbug3.51

The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Windows NT Server versions 3.51
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

Complex filled shapes that are near the bottom of a page may not print
correctly to some Postscript printers.

Graphics created in Word 97, Excel 97, and PowerPoint 97 that are embedded,
copied and pasted, or moved into other applications (including these three
applications) using a drag-and-drop operation as WMF files do not print
correctly to PostScript printers on Windows NT 3.51 with Service Pack 5
(SP5). WordArt objects and built-in shapes that have multiple subpaths or
multiple paths (including Donut, "No" Symbol, Striped Right Arrow, and Sun
AutoShapes) will not be filled correctly; only the first subpath of the
object will be filled.

Any non-rectangular shapes with a complex fill (gradient, texture, pattern,
picture, or semitransparent fill) in a WMF file that crosses page
boundaries will not print correctly to PostScript printers; the fill will
be missing.

Certain fill areas in charts (Excel 97/Graph 97) in WMF files will not
print correctly to PostScript printers: the fill will be missing.
